WHO ARE WE?
Stroud Mums on the Run is a running group for mums (or busy women), led by a mum.
The group was started as it was felt there was a real need for a beginners running group to be based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, to run at a time to suit mums.
After consultation it was agreed that 9.30am was a good time to run the group and Friday mornings were confirmed as the first tester day.
WHO’S IT AIMED AT?
Ummmm, mums?! Or women who want to learn to run and have available space in their diaries at 9.30am on Fridays.
WHO LEADS IT?
Sabrina Pace-Humphreys does. She’s a mum of 4 who started running 6 years ago. She hated running when she started and user to run in the dark so no-one would see her wobbly bits wobbling about. Slowly, she got better and set herself little targets. They grew to bigger targets and her running CV now boasts 7 marathons including London, Paris, Berlin and Edinburgh. Did we say she HATED running when she started. Find out more about her here.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
No longer than an hour, promise.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
£6.50 a session. The course is a 10-week progressive training schedule so you can’t just turn up really. Fees are payable in advance of course start date.
WILL THERE BE HOMEWORK?
Yes, we’ll give guidance on strength, flexibility and cross training to do in between he group runs.
